Every year the IIT JAM exam is conducted for seven subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Biotechnology. The exam pattern includes; IIT JAM marking scheme, exam mode, subject-wise paper pattern, IIT JAM syllabus and much more.<\/p>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"1\"><b data-path-to-node=\"1\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">IIT JAM Exam Pattern 2026 Overview<\/b><\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"1\"><strong> IIT JAM exam pattern<\/strong> 2026 consists of three sections including MCQs, MSQs and NAT questions. The IIT JAM question paper for all the seven subjects has sixty questions in total. All three sections are considered compulsory.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">The IIT JAM exam was conducted on <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"34\">15th February 2026<\/b>. The exam pattern for this year remained the same as the previous year.
